My Reporting
In my reporting, I aim to tell political stories from the perspective of the people most affected in hopes of inspiring a real human connection in my readers. It's easy to detach from America's often apocalyptic news cycle when all you see is cold, gray statistics, but much harder when those statistics have a face. This is why I put my interviewees at the center of my stories, portraying them as authentically and vibrantly as possible.

How Climate Change Is breaching the Marin bubble
With this story, I wanted to show the impact the global problem of climate change has had on the tiny bubble that is Marin. To do so, I interviewed members of some of the groups most impacted by a changing environment like nature enthusiasts and mountain bikers, putting their voices on center stage.
The Costs of the College Board
As a student, I know more than anyone the issues that teenagers face dealing with the (non) nonprofit that is College Board. With this story, I aimed to share that knowledge with readers who might be less educated, featuring the perspectives of people at all levels of involvement with the company including students, teachers, and district-level managerial staff.

Last September, a local waiter I've known for years upon years told me a secret: he was undocumented. This revelation, which occured amidst the peak of Trump's deportations inspired me to make the voices of immigrants like him heard. This story is the result of that inspiration.

This story expresses one of my longest held viewpoints-that being a bystander is something to be avoided like the plague. I've personally felt the impacts standing by has on bullying victims, being a former one myself, so I made this story to both spread awareness of inaction's harms and provide actionable steps for bystanders who may not know how to intervene.
Step up from the sidelines
San Rafael Porchfest rocks the block(s)
I went into Porchfest not expecting much, a couple of lawn chairs and more than a couple of dads with beers, but I quickly realized it was something special. All the organizers seemed genuinely passionate about the show they put on, and the energy of the massive crowd was overwhelmingly positive. In this story, I aimed to capture each of those details in their most vivid form.
