Marketing and Audience Engagement
It doesn't matter how good my articles are if nobody sees them. That's why I use Instagram as a tool for promotion. Recently, when my video "On The Trail with Redwood Mountain Biking" was teased on the Redwood Bark Instagram, I reposted and commented to boost engagement, and added it to my own story to expand its audience. This resulted in the teaser post gaining a significant 144 likes and being shared amongst the mountain biking community. Additionally, whenever I publish a story, I share it with interested communities to maximize viewership. For example, when I published my instagram slideshow covering Redwood's mountain biking team, I shared it with each of my rider friends and coaches through the team group chat leading to it becoming one of the most liked snapshots published before Madison Bishop, our social media manager, introduced engagement-boosting story templates.
